COLOR PROOFING

This is the process of verifying how colors will appear in print before mass production begins. It helps ensure that the colors seen on a monitor will match the printed material.

This step is essential to maintain brand consistency, avoid costly errors and to save time.

E-PROOFING

I’ve approved hundreds of e-proofs over the years. An e-proof is a digital version of a design. Shared, from the printer, for approval before mass production.

I check layout, text and design elements etc. making sure nothing has changed (and trust me, I’ve seen some unexpected things!).

If the colors were previously approved through color proofing and only minor updates have been made, I simply check that the content is as intended and verify the color data, no need for a new physical color proof.

GRAPHIC DESIGN

I’m personally drawn to minimal and bold aesthetics. My design style often features clean graphic compositions and color blocking. I like to focus on simplicity, contrast, and structure to create balance and rhythm.

But, good design isn’t only about my personal flare; it’s about its purpose. It's important to make a connection between what the customer wants to say and how to reach their target audience.

I also chose an education that emphasized designing with the next step in mind, whether that’s for web or print.

VECTOR GRAPHICS

"Why does it look weird? This print is not as I designed it" is a common thing to think when ordering prints for example.

To make designs work well throughout production, it's good to understand what happens Behind The Scenes. A vector illustration is really just mathematical formulas under the hood.

Knowing how a design is built helps prevent unexpected results. In this video, with the lovely Fjällbrynt design, visuals may look the same at first (pictures to the right in the video), but underneath the design it may differ (pictures to the left in the video), which can affect things like print prep and overlapping/trapping.

PRINT DESIGN

I'm experienced in working with brand guidelines and adapting designs for print materials like brochures, flyers, posters, and ads.

I like to focus a lot on visual hierarchy and balance. I pay close attention to structure and tone of voice to make sure the design aligns with the brand identity.

With solid knowledge of print production, I bring that insight into the creative process early on. This often minimizes surprises and saves both time and money after the artwork has been delivered to the printer.
